Au Naturel

There are those who claim that natural materials and colours are the essence of true elegance.
Ivory is both a material and a colour, while the French word for mole – taupe – has given rise to a colour palette. The names given to each natural colour have their own story to tell: ecru, ivory, milk, sand, hemp, string and so on.

Sometimes the deliberate association with a colour that may be tangy, such as bright yellow or shocking pink fuchsia produces a bag that defies expectations.
But natural tones are self-sufficient and Mother Nature does things well. A leopard cannot change its spots.

What could be more natural, in essence?

When speaking of all things natural, François Rénier uses these words: ecru, linen, ivory, taupe, dust, milk, sand, hemp, beige, string, chalk, gold, otter and tan.
